Dioctyl phthalate is an important general-purpose plasticizer, mainly used in the processing of PVC resin. It is also used in the processing of cellulose fiber resin, cellulose acetate resin, ABS resin and other polymers as well as rubber, and in paints, dyes and dispersants.
